I am continually exploring the ephemeral nature of movement, integrating performance concepts into my visual art. The art I create is imbued with a sense of movement - lines, form and color travel through space trailing an invisible wake behind. My work is often not fixed in place, which creates a John Cage quality of possibilities. Chance and change are possible. Work can often be configured in different ways - picked up and moved as though it were a performance that was evolving for a specific site.
My collagraph prints, collages made from collagraphs, combinations of collagraphs and etchings, cut paper collages and mixed media acrylic paintings all deal with the nature of abstraction. My work shows influences of many things in the natural world presented in a non-objective way. I received my BA in Art from Hunter College, NY and my MFA from the University of North Texas , Denton, TX. I live and work in Dallas and at my ranch in Bells, TX. I maintain an active exhibition schedule and fell fortunate to have my work in private and corporate collections.
